How we keep AskKofi current — sources, verification and corrections

How we keep this currentGhana's rules are scattered across dozens of agencies and they change often. Here is exactly where our information comes from, how we check it, and what to do if you spot something wrong.Where our information comes from

Primary law. Acts, Legislative Instruments and regulations, read from the Parliament of Ghana repository and official gazette, with repeal/amendment status tracked.

Official regulator sources. Fees, forms, steps and processing times come from each administering agency's own published material.

Nothing invented. Where an official figure isn't published or we can't confirm it, we say so and tell you to confirm with the regulator. We never fill the gap with a guess.

How we verify it

Sourced. Every fee, step and requirement is tied to the official source it came from.

Grounded. Kofi may only quote figures that appear in our verified data. If a number isn't there, it answers "verify with the regulator", never a confident guess.

Reviewed. A quality agent runs automated checks over the content, and a research agent watches regulator pages for changes and queues them for a human to verify before anything is published.

Corrected. Reader reports and our own review queue feed back into the data. Nothing changes on the strength of a scraper alone.

How fresh it isEvery journey and law page carries a "current as at" date. We review fee-bearing processes on a rolling 90-day cycle, re-check a law whenever it is amended or repealed, and publish regulatory changes to the What's New feed as they happen. When a page falls out of that window our team is flagged to re-verify it.Spotted something out of date?Tell us. Every journey, law and regulator page has a "Report outdated info" link beside its date. Reports go straight to the platform team's review queue.
